AMANA respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. This policy explains what AMANA owns, what users own, how content licenses work, and how to report IP infringement. By using the AMANA platform, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Overview

AMANA, operated by Denhill International LLC, respects intellectual property rights and expects all users of the AMANAplatform to do the same. This Intellectual Property Policy (“IP Policy”) explains:

  • What AMANA owns;
  • What users own;
  • The license users grant AMANA when submitting content;
  • Rules around trademarks and branding;
  • How to report copyright or IP infringement; and
  • AMANA’s repeat infringer policy.

This IP Policy is incorporated by reference into AMANA’s Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

2. AMANA's Intellectual Property

AMANA and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to the AMANA platform and all associated intellectual property. This includes, without limitation:

Platform and Technology

The AMANA platform in its entirety, including all source code, compiled software, algorithms, APIs, backend systems, infrastructure, and technical architecture.

Design and User Interface

AMANA’s UI/UX design, visual elements, layouts, icons, colour schemes, typography, and design system.

Trademarks and Branding

AMANA’s trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and branding — including the “AMANA” name and the AMANA A-logo design — whether or not registered.

Proprietary Content and Data

AMANA’s proprietary content, database structure, compiled platform data, and the selection, arrangement, and presentation of information on the platform.

Documentation and Communications

AMANA’s documentation, help content, marketing materials, and communications.

Derivative Works

All improvements, modifications, updates, and derivative works of any of the above, whether created by AMANA or on AMANA’s behalf.

Users have no rights in AMANA’s intellectual property except as expressly granted in these policies. Accessing or using the AMANA platform does not transfer any ownership of AMANA’s IP to any user.

3. User Ownership of Content

Users retain all ownership rights to the content they create and post on AMANA(“User Content”), including posts, photos, company descriptions, videos, documents, and any other materials submitted by users to the platform.

AMANA does not claim ownership of User Content. Your content remains yours. However, by submitting User Content to the platform, you grant AMANA the limited license described in Section 4 below, which is necessary for AMANA to operate and provide the platform.

4. License Granted to AMANA

By submitting User Content to the AMANA platform, you grant AMANA a:

  • Worldwide;
  • Non-exclusive;
  • Royalty-free;
  • Sublicensable; and
  • Transferable

licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display purposes only), display, distribute, and transmit your User Content, solely for the purposes of operating, improving, promoting, and providing the AMANA platform and its features.

Duration

This license continues for as long as your content remains on the platform and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for backup, archival, and legal compliance purposes.

Termination of License

You may terminate this license with respect to specific content by deleting that content from the platform. You may terminate this license in full by deleting your account. Termination does not affect any use of your content that occurred prior to deletion.

No Compensation

AMANA does not pay royalties or other compensation for User Content. By submitting User Content, you acknowledge that you receive access to the AMANA platform as consideration.

5. User Representations Regarding Content

By submitting User Content to the AMANA platform, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You own or have all necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions to submit the content and to grant the licence described in Section 4;
  2. Your User Content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right;
  3. Your User Content does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or right of any person (including rights of privacy and publicity);
  4. You have obtained all necessary consents from third parties for any content that includes or depicts other people, including photos, testimonials, or identifying information; and
  5. Your submission of the content does not violate any confidentiality obligation or contractual restriction owed to any third party, including any former employer, business partner, or client.

AMANA reserves the right to remove any User Content that it reasonably believes violates these representations, without prior notice.

6. Trademark Rules

AMANA’s name, logo, and branding are protected trademarks of Denhill International LLC. The following uses are prohibited without AMANA’s prior written permission:

Prohibited Uses

  • Using AMANA’s name, logo, or branding in any manner that suggests association, endorsement, or partnership with AMANA;
  • Registering domain names, social media handles, or business names containing “AMANA” or any term confusingly similar to AMANA’s trademarks;
  • Using AMANA’s branding in advertising, promotional materials, or on other platforms;
  • Creating derivative logos or modified versions of AMANA’s branding; and
  • Impersonating AMANA or its representatives in any context.

Permitted Fair Use

You may refer to AMANAby name in factual, descriptive contexts (for example, “I am a member of AMANA” or “I found this company on AMANA”) without implying endorsement or affiliation with AMANA.

To request permission to use AMANA’s trademarks or branding for a specific purpose, email contact@amana-uae.com with the subject line “Trademark Use Request.”

7. Prohibited Uses of Platform Content

Users may not use AMANA’s platform content, data, or user information in the following ways:

Scraping and Reproduction

Copying, scraping, reproducing, framing, mirroring, or distributing AMANA platform content — including profiles, company data, post data, or search results — for any commercial purpose.

Competing Products

Building products or services that aggregate, replicate, or compete with AMANA using data obtained from the AMANA platform.

External Database Enrichment

Using AMANA user data to populate, enrich, or maintain external CRM systems, databases, or contact lists at scale.

Selling, licensing, sublicensing, or otherwise commercialising AMANA’s data or the personal data of AMANA users.

Automated Bulk Downloads

Systematically downloading or archiving AMANA content through automated means, bots, crawlers, or any technical mechanism not expressly authorised by AMANA.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination, legal action, or both.

9. Counter-Notice Process

If your content was removed following a copyright infringement notice and you believe the removal was in error or the result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to contact@amana-uae.com with the subject line “Copyright Counter-Notice.”

Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your identity: Your full name, email address, and postal address.
  2. Identification of removed content: A description of the content that was removed and the location where it previously appeared on AMANA.
  3. Good-faith statement: A statement under penalty of applicable law that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Consent to jurisdiction: Your consent to the jurisdiction of competent courts in the UAE for the purpose of resolving any dispute with the copyright claimant.
  5. Signature: Your electronic or physical signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, AMANA may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law, restore the removed content. AMANA’s decision to restore or not restore content does not constitute a legal determination regarding the validity of any copyright claim.

10. Trademark Infringement — Reporting

To report trademark infringement on the AMANA platform, email contact@amana-uae.com with the subject line “Trademark Infringement Notice.”

Your notice should include:

  • Details of your trademark, including the mark, registration number (if any), and the goods or services it covers;
  • Evidence of your ownership or authorised use of the trademark;
  • A description of the allegedly infringing use on the AMANAplatform, including the URL or location of the content; and
  • Your full name, contact email, and postal address.

AMANA will review trademark infringement notices and take appropriate action, which may include removing infringing content or suspending accounts engaged in trademark infringement.

11. Repeat Infringer Policy

AMANA has a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.

A user who repeatedly submits content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights — after receiving notice of infringement and having infringing content removed — may have their account permanently terminated at AMANA’s discretion, without refund of any subscription fees.

AMANA may also terminate accounts for a single serious infringement if the circumstances warrant immediate action. AMANA’s termination decisions under this policy are final.

12. DMCA-Style Provisions

AMANA is incorporated and operated in the United Arab Emirates, and UAE law governs this IP Policy. Notwithstanding this, AMANAfollows a process substantially similar to the notice-and-takedown procedure established under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) for the benefit of users who may be subject to DMCA jurisdiction.

The procedures described in Sections 8 and 9 above are designed to be consistent with both UAE IP law and DMCA-equivalent standards. Users in DMCA jurisdictions who comply with those procedures will generally be treated as having submitted a DMCA-compliant notice or counter-notice for operational purposes.

⚠️ Applicability of DMCA and equivalent UAE IP law provisions subject to local legal review. The procedures described here do not constitute legal advice and may be updated following legal review.

13. Third-Party Content

AMANA may display third-party content, links to external websites, or content provided by third-party services on the platform. AMANA does not claim ownership of such third-party content and is not responsible for any third-party IP rights or any violations of IP rights by third parties.

If you believe that third-party content displayed on AMANAinfringes your intellectual property rights, please follow the reporting process described in Sections 8 or 10 above, as applicable.

14. No License Implied

Nothing in these policies, and nothing on or in the AMANAplatform, constitutes or shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any licence or right to use any of AMANA’s intellectual property — including its trademarks, trade names, logos, patents, copyrights, or proprietary information — except as expressly stated in these policies or in a separate written agreement signed by an authorised representative of Denhill International LLC.

All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by AMANA and Denhill International LLC.

15. Governing Law

This Intellectual Property Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE, without prejudice to AMANA’s right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any competent jurisdiction.

⚠️ Applicable IP law provisions and enforcement jurisdiction are subject to local legal review. Users in other jurisdictions may have additional rights under local law.
