AI & Automated Systems Policy

1. Overview

AMANA uses algorithms, automated systems, and AI-assisted features to improve the platform experience for all users. These systems help power discovery, search, recommendations, content moderation support, and other platform features.

This policy explains what types of automated and AI-assisted systems AMANA uses, what they do and do not do, their limitations, and the responsibilities of users when acting on outputs from these systems.

2. Systems Used

AMANA may use the following types of automated and AI-assisted systems in the operation of the platform:

Discovery and Recommendations: Algorithms that suggest profiles, companies, or connections to users based on factors including industry, geography, stated skills, and platform activity.

Search Ranking: Algorithms that determine the order in which search results appear when users search for people, companies, or content on the platform.

Feed Ranking: Algorithms that determine which content appears in a user's feed, based on relevance, activity, and other platform signals.

Moderation Support: Automated signals that flag potentially violating content or behaviour for human review by AMANA's operations team.

Verification Support: Automated tools that assist in the initial review of Trade License documents submitted for the AMANA Verified program. See Section 4 for important limitations.

Analytics: Aggregated analytics provided to users and companies about their profile or company page performance (e.g., profile views, reach).

Fraud Detection: Automated signals that detect suspicious account creation patterns, unusual activity, or other indicators potentially associated with fraud.

3. What Automated Systems Do NOT Do

AMANA's automated systems and AI-assisted features do NOT:

  • Make final moderation decisions without human review, where practicable
  • Guarantee accurate, complete, or unbiased recommendations or search results
  • Guarantee any business outcomes, including connections, leads, revenue, or opportunities
  • Provide legal, financial, investment, tax, or any other professional advice
  • Assess a user's trustworthiness, solvency, creditworthiness, or character
  • Replace the need for human judgment and independent verification before making significant decisions

4. AMANA Verified and Automated Review

Automated tools may assist in the initial review of Trade License documents submitted by companies seeking the AMANA Verified badge. However, the following important limitations apply:

  • ·The AMANA Verified badge is granted only after human review by AMANA's operations team — not by automated systems alone
  • ·Automated review is a support tool to assist human reviewers — it is not a final decision-making mechanism
  • ·AMANA is not responsible for errors in automated document review that are identified and corrected at the human review stage

5. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Automated systems and AI-assisted tools may produce errors, biases, or inaccuracies. AMANA does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of any output produced by its automated systems.

Rankings, recommendations, analytics, and other automated outputs are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. They do not constitute advice of any kind and must not be relied upon as such.

6. No Guarantee of Business Outcomes

Appearing in discovery recommendations, search results, or any other automated output does not guarantee any business outcome. In particular, AMANA makes no guarantee of:

  • Connections or introductions with other users
  • Messages, enquiries, or leads from other users
  • Business opportunities or commercial relationships
  • Revenue, sales, or financial returns
  • Employment offers or placements
  • Investment or funding
  • Any other commercial outcome of any kind

AMANA does not guarantee any specific result from the use of any platform feature, paid or free.

7. Algorithmic Fairness

AMANA is committed to continuously improving the fairness, accuracy, and reliability of its algorithms and automated systems. AMANA acknowledges that no algorithm is perfectly neutral, and that biases may exist in automated systems.

Users who believe that an automated system is producing results that are biased, unfair, or harmful may report their concerns to AMANA:

AMANA will review concerns reported in good faith and use them to inform ongoing improvements to its systems.

8. User Responsibility

Users must exercise independent judgment when acting on recommendations, search results, analytics, or any other output from AMANA's automated systems. In particular, users must not make commercial, legal, financial, employment, or investment decisions based solely on AMANA's automated outputs without conducting independent verification.

AMANA is not responsible for any decision made, or any loss or harm suffered, as a result of relying on automated system outputs without appropriate independent verification.

10. Data Used by Automated Systems

AMANA's automated systems may use the following types of data to generate outputs:

  • ·Your profile data, including industry, location, skills, and stated experience
  • ·Your activity on the platform, including connections, searches, and content interactions
  • ·Aggregated and anonymised platform-wide data used to improve system performance

This data is used solely for the operation and improvement of the AMANA platform. AMANA does not sell user data to third parties or use user data for external advertising targeting. Please refer to AMANA's Privacy Policy for full details of how personal data is collected, used, and protected.

11. Changes to Automated Systems

AMANA may modify, update, or retire any automated system or AI-assisted feature at any time. Such changes may affect recommendations, search rankings, feed content, analytics, and other platform features.

AMANA will communicate material changes to automated systems where practicable, through platform notices, email, or both. AMANA is not liable for any impact on a user's platform experience, visibility, or business outcomes caused by changes to automated systems.
