Community Guidelines

Effective date: May 10, 2026 · Last updated: May 10, 2026

Welcome to AMANA. We are a professional networking platform built for business leaders, founders, investors, and professionals across the MENA region and beyond. Our community is founded on three principles: trust, honesty, and professional respect.

These Community Guidelines describe the standards we expect all members to uphold — not because we're enforcing a rulebook, but because the quality of this community depends on every member contributing to it in good faith. Please read them, and hold yourself to them.

1. Be Honest and Accurate

Your profile and company page are your professional identity on AMANA. What you share here shapes how other members perceive and engage with you — and how much they're willing to trust you. That's why honesty is non-negotiable.

What this means in practice

  • Use your real, legal name — not a pseudonym, alias, or fictitious identity
  • State your actual role, company, and professional experience accurately
  • Do not exaggerate your qualifications, results, track record, or capabilities — including past deals, fund sizes, revenue figures, or client rosters
  • Do not misrepresent your company's size, services, stage, or achievements
  • Keep your profile information up to date — an outdated profile can be just as misleading as an inaccurate one

If you represent a company, make sure you are genuinely authorized to do so. Creating profiles for companies or individuals without their consent is not permitted.

2. Be Professional

AMANA is a business-focused platform. Every interaction here — a connection request, a message, a post — takes place in a professional context. We ask all members to keep that context front of mind.

What this means in practice

  • Keep your language, tone, and content appropriate for a professional audience — the kind of standard you would apply in a business meeting or formal correspondence
  • Avoid offensive, vulgar, crude, or inappropriate language in any context on the platform
  • Do not share personal, romantic, or intimate content on AMANA — this is not the right platform for it
  • When sharing promotional content about your business, keep it relevant, genuine, and substantiated — avoid exaggerated claims or misleading marketing language

3. Respect Others

AMANA brings together professionals from across the MENA region and beyond — people of different nationalities, cultures, religions, industries, and backgrounds. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We ask every member to treat every other member with genuine respect.

What this means in practice

  • Treat all members with professional respect, regardless of nationality, religion, gender, industry, seniority, or any other characteristic
  • Do not harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other users — in public posts, comments, or private messages
  • Do not engage in discriminatory behaviour or hate speech of any kind — including content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation
  • Do not publicly attack, shame, humiliate, or attempt to damage the reputation of another member

Disagreements happen in business — but there is always a professional way to handle them. If you have a dispute with another member, address it privately and respectfully, or seek appropriate recourse outside the platform.

4. Communicate Honestly

Messaging and connection requests are among the most powerful tools on AMANA. They allow you to build real relationships. But that only works if members communicate in good faith.

What this means in practice

  • Be clear and transparent about who you are and what you are looking for when reaching out to another member
  • Do not deceive, mislead, or apply undue pressure to other members in your communications
  • Do not use connection requests or messages as a vehicle for sending spam or unsolicited mass marketing materials
  • Do not engage in phishing, impersonation, or any communication designed to trick another member into sharing sensitive information or taking an action against their interests

5. Share Valuable Content

The posts, updates, and articles shared by our members are what make the AMANA feed genuinely useful. We encourage members to share content that adds real value to the professional community.

What adds value

  • Industry insights, market commentary, and professional analysis
  • Business updates, company announcements, and milestones
  • Genuine job opportunities and talent searches
  • Professional events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Knowledge sharing, case studies, and educational content

What to avoid

  • Repetitive or excessive self-promotional posts that provide no value to others
  • Content that is irrelevant to professional or business topics
  • Clickbait, sensationalist content, or headlines designed to mislead rather than inform
  • Misinformation, fake news, or unverified claims presented as fact
  • Fake job offers or fabricated business opportunities designed to attract inquiries under false pretences

6. No Fake Business

Trust is the foundation of AMANA. That means we take a zero-tolerance approach to fraudulent or deceptive commercial activity on the platform.

What is not permitted

  • Presenting fake, fabricated, or materially misrepresented business opportunities or investment propositions
  • Promoting get-rich-quick offers, unrealistic returns, or investment guarantees
  • Soliciting investment from other members unless you are legally authorized to do so under applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Promoting pyramid schemes, fraudulent MLM structures, or any model designed primarily to recruit participants rather than deliver legitimate products or services
  • Promoting unauthorized cryptocurrency, token, or digital asset offerings in violation of applicable law

If you receive a suspicious offer or solicitation from another member, please report it to us immediately. Do not engage, do not transfer funds, and do not share personal financial information.

7. Protect Privacy

Every member of AMANA has a right to privacy. When you connect with someone on this platform, you are given a degree of access to their professional information — treat that access with the same discretion you would expect for your own.

What this means in practice

  • Do not share another member's personal or contact information with third parties without their explicit consent
  • Do not screenshot or publicly share private messages or conversations from the platform
  • Do not use contact information or professional details obtained through AMANA to conduct outreach, marketing, or activities unrelated to legitimate professional networking
  • Do not compile or export member data for use in external databases, CRM systems, or marketing lists

8. Fair Use of Verification

The AMANA Verified badge indicates that AMANA has reviewed and confirmed the holder's Trade License at the time of application. It is a mark of business legitimacy — not a guarantee of financial soundness, professional competence, or any other quality beyond what the badge explicitly represents.

What this means

  • Do not claim or imply a higher level of trust, endorsement, or vetting than what the AMANA Verified badge actually represents
  • Do not use the badge to suggest regulatory approval, financial guarantee, or any form of accreditation beyond Trade License verification
  • Do not submit false, forged, expired, or altered documents in connection with a verification application — this constitutes fraud and will result in immediate account termination

For a full explanation of what AMANA Verified does and does not represent, please refer to our Verification Policy.

9. What We Don't Allow

To be clear and direct: the following are not permitted on AMANA under any circumstances.

  • Fake, fictitious, or impersonation profiles
  • Harassment, threats, bullying, or intimidation of any member
  • Spam or unsolicited mass messaging
  • Hate speech or discriminatory content targeting any individual or group
  • Illegal offers, fraudulent schemes, or deceptive commercial propositions of any kind
  • Unauthorized financial services, investment solicitation, or regulated activities
  • MLM pyramid structures or recruitment-based business models masquerading as legitimate ventures
  • Unauthorized cryptocurrency or token promotions in violation of applicable law
  • Privacy violations, including doxxing or sharing private communications without consent
  • Fake reviews, fabricated endorsements, or manipulated reputation signals
  • Impersonation of any person, company, authority, or organization
  • Misleading advertising or materially false claims about products or services
  • Fraudulent or deceptive use of the AMANA Verified badge, including submission of false documents

⚠️ This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. AMANA's full Acceptable Use Policy contains detailed and binding rules governing all permitted and prohibited conduct on the Platform.

10. Enforcement

We want AMANA to be a community that enforces its own standards — through the professional behaviour of its members. But when that is not sufficient, we will step in.

If we find that a member has violated these guidelines — or the broader Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service — we may take any of the following actions, at our discretion:

  • Remove the content in question
  • Issue a formal warning to the member
  • Restrict certain platform features (such as messaging or posting)
  • Remove the AMANA Verified badge
  • Temporarily suspend the account
  • Permanently terminate the account

For serious violations — such as fraud, illegal activity, harassment, or submission of forged documents — we may proceed directly to account termination without prior warning and, where required or permitted by applicable law, cooperate fully with competent authorities.

Enforcement actions are not necessarily applied in sequence. The severity and nature of each situation determines the appropriate response.

11. How to Report

If you see something on AMANA that doesn't belong here — a fake profile, suspicious offer, harassment, or anything else that concerns you — please let us know. We take every report seriously.

Email: contact@amana-uae.com

Subject line: Community Report

In your message, please include: the username or company name of the account you are reporting, a clear description of what you observed, and any supporting evidence such as screenshots or links.

All reports are reviewed confidentially. We cannot always share the outcome of an investigation with the reporting party, but we review every submission in good faith.

12. Our Commitment

Building a platform worthy of your trust is an ongoing responsibility — one we take seriously. AMANA is committed to:

  • Maintaining a safe, trustworthy, and genuinely professional environment for every member
  • Applying our guidelines consistently and fairly, without discrimination
  • Listening to community feedback and continuously improving our policies and practices
  • Being transparent about what we expect from members and what members can expect from us

We are grateful to every member who contributes positively to this community. If you have feedback on these guidelines — or anything else about AMANA — we would genuinely like to hear from you at contact@amana-uae.com.

These Community Guidelines are supplemented by AMANA's full Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Verification Policy. In the event of any conflict between these Guidelines and those documents, the Terms of Service shall prevail.
