Content Moderation Policy

Effective date: May 10, 2026 · Last updated: May 10, 2026

1. Overview

AMANA is a professional networking platform. We establish and enforce content standards to maintain a professional, honest, and safe environment for all users. This Content Moderation Policy explains how AMANA approaches content moderation, what standards we apply, and what tools and processes we use.

This policy applies to all content posted, submitted, or shared on the AMANA platform by any user, including but not limited to: profile information, company page content, posts, messages, images, documents, and any other user-generated content.

2. AMANA's Role

AMANA is not a publisher and does not pre-review all user-submitted content before it appears on the platform. AMANA acts as a hosting and intermediary platform for user-generated content.

AMANA has the right but not the obligation to review, moderate, or remove content at any time and for any reason consistent with its policies. When AMANA becomes aware of content that violates its policies or applicable law, AMANA will act appropriately.

AMANA's content moderation role does not make AMANA a publisher or editor of user-generated content, and does not create any obligation for AMANA to monitor all content at all times.

3. Content That Violates Our Policies

Content may be removed or actioned if it falls into any of the following categories:

  • Violates AMANA's Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, or Community Guidelines
  • Is illegal under applicable UAE law or the laws of the user's jurisdiction
  • Contains false, defamatory, or fraudulent claims about a person, company, or product
  • Is spam or unsolicited commercial content
  • Harasses, threatens, or discriminates against any individual or group
  • Contains hate speech, sexually explicit content, or violent content inappropriate for a professional platform
  • Infringes third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright or trademark
  • Compromises user privacy, for example by posting private information about another person without consent
  • Involves fake profiles, fake company pages, or fraudulent representations of any kind
  • Promotes illegal services, unauthorized financial products, or fraudulent schemes (including Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, unauthorized investment products, or illegal crypto-asset offerings)

This list is illustrative and not exhaustive. AMANA may remove content that violates the spirit of its policies, even if not expressly listed above.

4. How Content Moderation Works

AMANA uses a combination of user reports, automated signals, and proactive review to identify potentially violating content:

a
User Reports: Users may flag or report content or profiles that they believe violate AMANA's policies by emailing AMANA. All user reports are reviewed in good faith.
b
AMANA Review: AMANA's operations team reviews reported content and assesses it against AMANA's policies and applicable law.
c
Automated Signals: AMANA may use automated tools to flag potentially violating content for human review. Automated signals are a support tool and do not result in final enforcement actions without human review where practicable.
d
Proactive Review: AMANA may proactively review content in certain circumstances, including but not limited to: during the verification review process, following a safety report, or where AMANA has reason to believe a violation may be occurring.

5. Moderation Decisions

Following a content review, AMANA may take any of the following actions, alone or in combination, at its sole discretion:

  • ·No action (where content does not violate policies)
  • ·Request the user to modify or remove the content voluntarily
  • ·Remove the content from the platform
  • ·Add a notice, label, or warning to the content
  • ·Restrict the user's ability to post or access certain features
  • ·Suspend the user's account pending further investigation
  • ·Terminate the user's account
  • ·Preserve content as evidence for ongoing investigations or legal processes
  • ·Report content or user to competent authorities where required or permitted by applicable law

6. Emergency Removal

AMANA may remove content immediately and without prior notice where the content poses an immediate and serious risk to users or the platform, or where the content clearly violates applicable UAE law. Examples include:

  • !Content containing an imminent threat of violence or harm to a person
  • !Illegal content clearly violating UAE law
  • !Content forming part of an active fraud operation causing ongoing harm to users

In cases of emergency removal, AMANA is not required to notify the user before removal. AMANA will use reasonable efforts to notify the user after removal where it is legally permissible and appropriate to do so.

8. User Notification

Where practical and legally permissible, AMANA will notify the user whose content was removed, including the reason for removal. However, AMANA may not notify a user in advance of or following removal where:

  • ·Notification would compromise an ongoing investigation
  • ·Notification would compromise a legal process
  • ·A competent authority has instructed AMANA not to notify
  • ·The removal was made on an emergency basis (see Section 6)
  • ·AMANA determines that notification is otherwise inappropriate in the circumstances

9. Appeal Process

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was made in error, you may submit an appeal to AMANA within 14 days of receiving the removal notice.

Email: contact@amana-uae.com

Subject: "Content Moderation Appeal — [Your Username]"

Your appeal should include:

  • ·A description of the content that was removed
  • ·Why you believe the removal was incorrect
  • ·Any supporting evidence or context

AMANA will review all appeals received in good faith and will respond within a reasonable time. AMANA's decision on appeal is final.

10. Automated Systems

AMANA may use automated tools to assist in identifying potentially violating content. These tools are used as a support mechanism for human review — they do not make final enforcement decisions independently. All significant enforcement actions are reviewed by a member of AMANA's team before implementation where practicable.

Automated systems may produce errors or false positives. Where a user believes an automated flag has resulted in an incorrect enforcement action, the user may submit an appeal as described in Section 9.

11. AMANA's Limitations

AMANA acknowledges the following limitations of its content moderation capabilities:

  • ·AMANA is not able to pre-review all content submitted by users before it appears on the platform
  • ·AMANA cannot guarantee that all content violating its policies will be identified or removed promptly
  • ·AMANA is not responsible for user-generated content that has not yet been identified and acted upon
  • ·Content moderation decisions are made in good faith based on the information available at the time of review

12. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for all content they post, submit, or share on the AMANA platform. By posting content on AMANA, users represent and warrant that such content complies with AMANA's policies and applicable law.

Users who post content that violates AMANA's policies or applicable law may face enforcement action, up to and including account termination and cooperation with competent law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
