This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies and similar technologies AMANA uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website or use a web application. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, making subsequent visits smoother and more personalized.

In addition to traditional cookies, AMANA may use similar storage technologies, including:

localStorage — persistent key-value storage in your browser, not sent with HTTP requests
sessionStorage — temporary storage cleared when you close your browser tab
Pixel tags (web beacons) — small images embedded in pages or emails that signal when content has been viewed

This Cookie Policy covers all of these technologies, collectively referred to as "cookies" throughout this document.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

AMANA uses three categories of cookies. Essential cookies are always active and cannot be disabled. You may opt out of non-essential cookies (see Section 5).

Essential

Required for the platform to function. These cookies enable core features such as authentication, session management, and payment security. Without them, you cannot log in or use AMANA. They cannot be disabled.

Functional

Help us remember your preferences (such as preferred currency or UI theme) to provide a more personalized experience. No personal data is shared externally for these cookies.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors interact with the platform so we can improve it. Data collected is anonymized and does not identify you personally.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services integrated into the AMANA platform. Their use is governed by their respective privacy policies:

Stripe

Stripe sets cookies for fraud detection and payment security during checkout flows. Stripe's use of cookies is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy. Stripe does not use these cookies for advertising.

Supabase

Supabase sets authentication session cookies to keep you securely logged into AMANA. Supabase does not set advertising or tracking cookies on AMANA.

Vercel Analytics

Vercel Analytics is active on this platform and collects anonymous page-view and performance data. It is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use persistent tracking cookies, does not track users across websites, and does not collect personal identifiers. Data collected is used solely to understand how the platform is used in aggregate.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Union and European Economic Area, our use of cookies is based on the following legal grounds under the GDPR:

Essential cookies: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the service you request. No consent is required.
Functional cookies: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where required by applicable law, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Analytics cookies: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing (see Section 5).

5. How to Control Cookies

Browser settings

You can configure your browser to refuse, delete, or notify you about cookies. Use the links below to access your browser's cookie settings:

Vercel Analytics opt-out

To opt out of Vercel Analytics data collection, enable the Do Not Track (DNT) setting in your browser. Vercel Analytics respects this signal and will not collect analytics data from your session.

Warning: disabling essential cookies (such as Supabase authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in and using core features of the AMANA platform.

6. Future Non-Essential Cookies

If AMANA introduces non-essential cookies in the future (for example, for advertising, social media integrations, or new analytics providers), AMANA will:

Implement appropriate consent controls where legally required before setting those cookies
Update this Cookie Policy with at least 14 days' advance notice before the new cookies are activated
Notify users via email or an in-app notification of any material change

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law, or new platform features. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes — such as adding new categories of cookies or new third-party providers — we will notify you via email or an in-app notification before the changes take effect.
